Sindh Confirms Summer Holidays for Schools and Colleges Starting June 1

The Sindh Education Department has officially announced summer vacations for all schools and colleges across the province. According to the notification issued, the holidays will begin from June 1 and last until July 31, giving students and teachers a two-month break to escape the sweltering summer heat.

This decision applies to both government and private institutions, ensuring consistency across the educational sector in Sindh. The move comes as temperatures soar and the province prepares for peak summer conditions, which can become challenging for students and staff alike.

The official notification was released after widespread speculation and anticipation among parents, students, and educational institutions. The summer break is part of the annual academic calendar, but this year’s announcement carries extra significance due to the ongoing heatwave affecting several parts of the country.

The timing of the vacation aligns with announcements from other provinces, including Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which also issued similar notifications this week. In Punjab, schools will close starting May 28, while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, vacation schedules vary based on region and school level. For example, primary schools in the plains areas of K-P will remain closed from June 1 to August 31, and middle to higher secondary schools will take a break starting June 15.

Parents are advised to stay updated with their respective schools for any changes or additional instructions during the holiday period. It’s also a good time for students to relax, refresh, and prepare for the upcoming academic year. However, the break is not only for rest—it’s also an opportunity for students to catch up on reading, pursue hobbies, or engage in skill-building activities at home.

The Sindh Education Department’s clear communication through this notification aims to provide relief and clarity to the public, ensuring that educational routines are adjusted smoothly in light of the extreme weather conditions.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and make the most of your summer break!
