Terrifying Storm Hits Karachi to Lahore Flight Mid-Air – Full Video Inside

A routine flight from Karachi to Lahore turned into a mid-air nightmare when Flight FL-842 was caught in a violent storm while attempting to land at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport. The private airline’s plane encountered brutal turbulence just as it was about to touch down, forcing the pilot to abort landing and take off again — a quick decision that likely saved many lives.

Passengers described the experience as “absolutely terrifying.” Initially, the descent was calm and smooth, with no indication of what was to come. But moments after the wheels touched the runway, the aircraft was hit by a powerful sandstorm. The pilot immediately pulled the plane back into the air as visibility vanished and the plane was pounded by intense winds.

“We Were Falling Through the Sky” – Passenger Recounts Horror

One passenger described the horrifying minutes after the aborted landing: “We hit at least five massive air pockets. The plane dropped suddenly each time, and people started screaming. It felt like we were being thrown around like a paper plane. Some passengers were crying, others just holding hands and praying.”

The sandstorm lasted for nearly 10 minutes as the aircraft was tossed around in zero visibility. Eventually, the pilot managed to climb above the storm into clear skies, offering a surreal moment of peace after the chaos. Passengers sighed in relief, with some even in tears after surviving what they called the scariest moment of their lives.

Pilot Returns to Karachi as Dozens Refuse to Fly Again

After escaping the storm, the pilot safely flew the aircraft back to Karachi following air traffic control instructions. The aircraft was later refueled and prepared for a second attempt to Lahore, but the trauma of the experience was too much for many. At least 57 passengers refused to continue the journey. Their decision led to additional delays as luggage was offloaded.

Officials also confirmed that two other flights were diverted due to the same storm, including a PIA flight from Islamabad. Departures from Lahore were also affected but resumed once the weather improved.

This dramatic event is a stark reminder of how unpredictable flying can be — and just how important experienced pilots and quick thinking are when nature strikes mid-air.
